Another Planet Hollywood project is coming to the Caribbean.
Canadian travel giant Sunwing Travel Group has announced plans for a new all-inclusive Planet Hollywood-branded resort in Cancun on the Mexican Caribbean.
It is slated to debut in 2019, according to the company.
The new resort will be the third in the Planet Hollywood pipeline in the region, including a Costa Rica resort set to debut in October and the recently-announced Planet Hollywood on Great Bay in St Maarten.
The new Cancun resort is part of a $600 million investment commitment by Sunwing to bring the brand into “key destinations internationally,” according to a statement.
The resort brand will focus on a Hollywood ambience, from special lighting to themed dining and “curated entertainment experiences.”
