Club Med Renovating Turks and Caicos, Martinique Properties

Club Med has embarked on a major global expansion that will include a renovation push in the Caribbean, the company said Friday.
That includes a major new expansion in the Mexican Caribbean and a pair of high-profile renovations.
Club Med will expand the Club Med Cancun Yucatan in July 2018, with 60 new family rooms — a combination of 30 “family club” rooms and 30 “family deluxe” rooms, along with a new oceanfront pool.
That comes after Club Med completed a full renovation to all rooms and public spaces and added new restaurant concepts at the end of last year at the Yucatan property.
Club Med will also be unveiling renovations to two high-profile Caribbean resorts: the all-inclusive Club Med Turkoise in Turks and Caicos and the Club Med Buccaneer’s Creek in Martinique.
The Turks and Caicos property will add a new room category, a redesigned pool and reception area, a new bar, a new dining space with a wine cellar and a new wellness area.
Martinique’s Club Med Buccaneer’s Creek will transform its specialty restaurant into a beach lounge, while the main restaurant, Pays Meles, will also undergo a renovation.
The Turks and Caicos and Martinique upgrades will be completed in the summer.
