Spirit Airlines is expanding its service to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
The carrier is planning to increase its service to four flights per week in February 2018, according to US Virgin Islands Tourism Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty.
Beginning Feb. 16, service will go from twice-weekly service to four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The flights operate between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and St Thomas’ Cyril E. King International Airport.
Nicholson-Doty also said a senior Spirit executive was planning a visit to the US Virgin Islands after the holidays to ”meet with partners and evaluate the possibility of additional increases in service.”
