Punta Cana Airport’s New VIP Lounge Will Have Its Own Pool
By the Caribbean Journal staff
The Dominican Republic’s newest VIP lounge is about to set a new standard for airports anywhere.
The new VIP lounge opening at Punta Cana International Airport in December will have its own panoramic outdoor swimming pool.
The pool has been designed by leading Dominican architect Antonio Segundo Imbert.
It’s the latest update for an airport that has seen significant improvements in recent years, from the addition of a new terminal building to the construction of a second airstrip.
It will be the first airport in the Caribbean to have a pool in its VIP lounge.
The airport is also set to add US customs and immigration pre-clearance.
They’re the kind of changes that might make you want to get to the airport a bit early on your departure day.
And that’s no small feat.
