Kingston, Jamaica, will welcome a significant new hotel when the Courtyard by Marriott opens later this year.
In fact, it’s the first new-construction hotel to come to Jamaica’s capital in more than three decades.
Speaking at the JAPEX conference in Montego Bay this week, senior sales manager Marlene Buckridge said that the 129-room hotel is now accepting reservations for stays beginning December 1.
Located in New Kingston, just behind Emancipation Park, the hotel will also be the first LEED-certified building on the island, staffed by a team that, with the exception of the general manager, is entirely Jamaican.
Designed for both leisure and business travelers, facilities at the hotel will include a fitness center, pool, and 1,900 feet of meeting space. Rates begin at $179 per night.
Courtyard By Marriott’s other Caribbean locations include Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
