Divi Resorts has created a new position to enhance the hospitality brand’s culinary offerings: a regional executive chef.

The company has named Aruban Chef Matt Boland to fill the new post, which will oversee food and beverage operations for more than 20 restaurants at properties in Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, St Croix and St Maarten.

Boland, who will be expanding the company’s “pure ocean” brand, will report to Marco Galaverna, the company’s president and chief operating officer.

Boland is one of Aruba’s most famous chefs and frequently represents the island’s tourism authority abroad.

“Matt has unflagging energy, creativity and passion for developing fresh concepts, welcoming environments and delicious experiences,” Galaverna said. “We are thrilled that Matt is back with Divi Resorts.  We know he will make Divi the dining destination on every one of our islands.”
