CARICOM Secretary General Irwin LaRocque met this week with newly-elected Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
The two sides’ discussion came after Browne’s Antigua Labour Party swept to power in the country’s June 12 elections.
The talks came ahead of Antigua and Barbuda’s assumption of the chairmanship of CARICOM, which will take effect on July 1.
Antigua will host the upcoming Conference of Heads of Government beginning that day as well.
