The Sunset Jamaica Grande resort has rebranded itself as the Jamaica Grande Resort.

The property, which recently undertook a “refreshing” of all 730 rooms, has added flat-screen TVs, in-room Wi-Fi and granite bath vanities.

The Ocho Rios resort will also be adding more seating capacity to its restaurants and rethinking its menus, it said, among other changes.

The project, which is remaining under current ownership, is looking to complete the rebranding and refurbishment by Aug. 31, 2014, according to the Sunset Resort Group.

“This decision allows the Jamaica Grande to reposition itself as a resort hotel that encompasses the true soul of Jamaica-casual, fun and authentic,” the property said in a release.

The company made the announcement during the Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
