Playa Hotels and Resorts has appointed Kevin Froemming to the new position of Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Playa is managing Hyatt’s two new all-inclusive brands in the Caribbean and Mexico region.

Froemming previously served for 10 years as president of Unique Vacations, which represents Sandals and Beaches resorts worldwide.

“Kevin brings expertise and demonstrated success in building profitable upscale brands in the highly competitive and fast growing all-inclusive resort market,” said Playa CEO Bruce Wardinski. “Kevin’s extensive experience in global marketing, distribution, branding and new technology will be critical to Playa’s growing portfolio

Froemming’s resume also includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Mark Travel Corporation’s brands.

“We look forward to his leadership in expanding Playa’s customer reach and helping to grow Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara brand awareness,” said Playa Resorts Management CEO Alex Stadlin.

Playa manages two Hyatt all-inclusives: the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and the Hyatt Zilara Cancun. Another new all-inclusive, the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, will open in 2014 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
