The Dominican Republic was shaken by a light earthquake on Sunday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake’s epicentre was about 4 kilometres east of La Romana, and about 111 kilometres east of the capital, Santo Domingo.
The quake struck at about 7:34 PM local time in the Dominican Republic, according to the USGS.
The quake was felt from Santo Domingo to San Cristobal. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
