The Tyrell Bay Marina project has relaunched in Grenada.

Grenada’s government said the project aims to be a “world-class, full-service marina resort” on the island of Carriacou, one of three islands that make up the country along with Grenada and Petite Martinique.

The project was first launched in 2004, although construction is now ready to move forward.

In a release, Grenada Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell said that the project by developers Jerome McQuilkin and John Walker “should be applauded.”

Work on the project is slated to begin within 80 to 90 days.

The Tyrell Bay Marina could employ 125 people directly when complete, the government said.
