Grenada’s Government Names New Ambassador to Caribbean Community

Grenada’s William Joseph has been accredited as the new Grenadian Ambassador to CARICOM.
CARICOM Secretary General Irwin LaRocque accepted Josephs’s letters of credence in a ceremony in Georgetown last week.
Joseph’s diplomatic career, which began in 1986, has included positions as head for policy research in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and permanent secretary for Grenada’s Ministries of Labour, Tourism, Agriculture and Foreign Affairs.
Joseph has studied at schools including the University of Huddersfield, the University of the West Indies and the University of Manchester.
Joseph replaces Dr Wayne Sandiford as the country’s CARICOM Ambassador.
He was formerly the director of Grenada’s Tourism Board.
