A joint delegation from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund is in Antigua examining its public sector financial management needs.
In December, the EU approved a grant of just under $4 million which aimed to strengthen Antigua’s revenue administration and public financial management.
That grant is the subject of the mission.
The IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department is managing the grant in partnership with the Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre.
The technical assistance help will centre on completing an “intensive programme” to support improvements in Antigua’s administration of tax and customs.
The mission ends Jan. 26.
