In Aruba, Soul on the Beach

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - May 26, 2016

Aruba has launched the 16th annual Soul Beach Music Festival, a five-day extravaganza filled with music, comedy and Caribbean vibes.

The festival includes appearances from The Isley Brothers, Miguel, Fantasia and Jazmine Sullivan, among others, with a Comedy Night headlined by Tony Rock and Affion Crockett.

The festival, which launched May 25, continues through May 30.

“It’s an honor to host such talented and dynamic artists on our One happy island,” says Otmar Oduber, Minister of Tourism, Primary Sector and Culture. “Visitors not only experience top-notch performances during Soul Beach Music Festival, but are also welcomed to enjoy Aruba’s signature experiences and culture during their stay.”

The festival includes events all day every day, from beach parties to nightclubs to a VIP Twilight Beach Party on the final night.

“The Soul Beach Music Festival is one of our most popular annual extravaganzas,” says Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, CEO of Aruba Tourism Authority. “Travelers looking for more than a basic beach getaway this Memorial Day Weekend will find their paradise in Aruba while enjoying electrifying entertainment and international culinary influences on some of the world’s most famous beaches.”
