Grenada Chocolate Fest is back for a third year of celebrating the island’s organic and ethically produced dark chocolate and cocoa products.

This year’s activities, which are themed around “Creating Generation Cocoa,” will take place across Grenada from May 13-22.

These include a “Be a Farmer for a Day” cocoa farmer experience at Cray Fish Organic Farm, a “Healthy Benefits of Chocolate” hands-on workshop with Mexican chocolatier Ana Rita Garcia Lascurian, “Tree to Bar” chocolate-making and a “Cocoa Chocolate Art Exhibition.”

In addition to the variety of activities, the festival will also include plentiful opportunities for chocolate tasting led by visiting expert chocolatiers, as well as chocolate-inspired dining experiences.

The festival will feature the launch of a book written by the children of the Grenada Community Library, entitled, “The Grenada Chocolate Family.”

All proceeds from the sale of the book will work towards keeping the library open.

Finally, the festival will conclude with a “Chocolate Extravaganza Last Day Party” complete with a fashion show, food, bazaar, music, dancing and fireworks.
