This Caribbean Beach Hotel Is For Sale

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 28, 2016

It’s long been one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems — the affordable, lovely little Mary’s Boon hotel in St Maarten.

And now it’s for sale.

The 37-room boutique property in Simpson Bay is listed for sale at $6.8 million, according to listing broker Sky Pulford of RE/MAX Comercial.

The hotel, which is set on a 39,000-square-foot lot, is located on one of the island’s top beaches.

While it’s being marketed for sale as a hotel, it’s also possible to sell 18 units as a condo hotel conversion, something Pulford said had been approved by the island’s government. That would leave 19 hotel owned units.

All of the units are fully furnished with kitchenettes, TVs, phone, AC and more.

The property is located on a three-mile, white-sand stretch of Simpson Beach. It also includes a spa and a bar-restaurant, among other amenities.

“It is just South of Princess Juliana Airport minutes away from great shopping, restaurants and Casinos,” RE/MAX says. “Yet, it feels secluded; an oasis.”

That’s certainly true.
