Canadian tour operator Transat has unveiled its new tourism packages for travel to Haiti.

The company, which is based in Montreal, is the first major operator in the country to offer such packages to the Caribbean nation.

“At the heart of the Caribbean, Haiti shows a certain originality, with its unique history,” the firm said in its materials. “Haiti’s charm is always accentuated by its lush tropical vegetation, coral reefs visited by thousands of multicoloured fish, waterfalls, caves, sinkholes and many other treasures.”

Transat Holidays is offering a package that combines two nights in Port-au-Prince and five nights on the Cote des Arcadins.

Hotel offerings range from three to four-star hotels, both in Port-au-Prince and Cote des Arcadins.

Earlier this month, Transat signed a tourism partnership agreement with Haiti’s Ministry of Tourism.

The company’s air division currently makes weekly flights to Haiti from Montreal.
